Telrad-Tenecs release Avanti Companion 3400 cordless phone

Telrad Tenecs group released the Avanti Companion 3400 cordless handset. This DECT device is designed to provide freedom to talk around the enterprise. The Avanti Companion 3400 cordless handset is fully integrated with Telrad Tenecs Unite digital telephone systems family and has all the advanced features of Avanti stations. The Avanti Companion 3400 cordless handsets are well suited for construction sites, warehouses or other tough environments. Ideal for executives walking about the premises.

The cordless handset has 300-meter outdoor range from the base station and 50 meters indoors. The Avanti Companion 3400 cordless phone can roam from one base station to the other base station in the same system and from one system to another system in network configuration. One system can support up to 32 base stations and up to 500 cordless handsets. The Avanti Companion 3400 cordless phone fully supports all the functions of the Avanti stations family such as text messaging, caller ID, and multi-lingual menus. It also supports remote download. The Avanti Companion 3400 has 90 hours standby time with up to 10 hours talk time.

The Avanti Companion 3400 cordless handset is available across Europe from November 2001. The same cordless handset with the same features, transmitting in 2.4GHz license free frequency and complying with FCC regulations, will be available in the USA shortly. The handset and base station, with built in power supply come with vibrating NiCd battery and can be purchased through Telrad Tenecs dealers.
