In 1999 Adherent withdrew from the DECT
protocol test market to concentrate on it's MPEG-2 digital video product range.
Adherent put in place both hardware and software
support programs to ensure that the installed base of clients.
Support can be obtained by e-mailing them from their website.

The MT8801B Radio Communication Analyser, with MX880118A DECT Measurement Software,
provides a high-speed tester for DECT fixed and portable parts. The product
supports a wide range of ETSI test cases as detailed in ETS 300 176-1, including such
parameters as - accuracy/stability of RF carriers, timing jitter, RFP reference timing
accuracy, packet transmission accuracy, transmission burst (power vs time), transmitted
power, carrier modulation, emissions due to modulation and transmitter transients,
receiver sensitivity, reference BER, interference performance, blocking and
intermodulation.
The equipment can establish a MAC layer communication to the device-under-test, emulating either a fixed or portable part. Special MAC layer test messages are also supported. A number of 'clever' features are available to enable the tester to provide accelerated product testing, to maximise testing throughput.

Hewlett Packard
The HP 8923B makes
the following measurements, which are needed to verify correct operation of the DECT
transceivers: bit error ratio (sensitivity), word error ratio, carrier power, centre
frequency accuracy, frequency deviation, frequency drift, timing jitter, power vs. time
template, and audio.
It is thus easy to determine the probability of having "hot spots" in the DECT system. It is possible to see how much noise there is on each of the 120 channels, with noise levels from 90 dBm to 60 dBm in jumps of 5 dBm. The Kirk 1600 is able to lock to a base and avoid handover to other bases, enabling to see the frequencies and timeslots used and consequently to find out if special frequencies or timeslots create problems for the DECT system

TS1210 covers acoustic tests to CTR10 and TS1220 is for protocol analysis to TBR22.
DECT Protocol
Tester TS 1220 - allows approval tests of DECT fixed and mobile parts to TBR 22,
expandable to TBR 10 audio tests. The philosophy and design approach of this
product was presented by Peter Riedel of Rohde & Schwarz in a paper at the DECT

The RP'SCOPE-dect is a DECT monitor system able to monitor simultaneously ALL
the bearers of a DECT network ; it is particularly useful during validation phases and for
operational checks.
The RP'SIM-dect is the only DECT simulator able to simulates a crowd of portables for traffic validation. All the behavioural aspects of simulation are LDS based for easy updates. Since mid-2001 a car-mounted version of this equipment is available, ideal for checking out problems with DECT WLL deployments.
DEMON (for DEct MONitoring) - DECT monitoring product - launched May 1999
DEMON monitors all the 240 bearers (24 timeslots x 10 carriers) simultaneously, whether
simple, double, or aggregated slots enabling testing of complex systems (eg WLL, DECT
PABX) or phone / data.
During 2000, Systemes G introduced a range of software add-ons including:
ISDN / LU7
DEMON call follower follows precisely
every calls. When a call is
entering LU7 phase, it is able to follow
and check the specific aspects of LU7 (ARQ,
DPRS
Multiple bearer reception of DEMON
enables to catch every configuration of
bearers involved in DPRS profile,
including multiple bearer, symmetric or
asymmetric, configurations. DEMON
processes the on-air messages in order
to decode and display the higher
inter-level protocol messages up to the
interworking IWU level (currently V24
and Ethernet).
SOUND DECODER
DEMON Sound Decoder extracts the audio DPCM information of non-ciphered calls
and processes it into a .WAV format for output from any PC sound board.
Multibearer reception of DEMON enables to follow different calls and to assign
one or both ways of a call to the audio output, or to a file.
DESTURB : DECT INTERFERER SOFTWARE for DEMON
Interferer handling is one of the key points of the DECT MAC protocol. In order
to thoroughly check all its defence strategy features, a programmable interferer
proves invaluable. This is what DESTURB is for. Several independent
programmable interferers can emit from a few bits to a full frame, within any
position regarding the DECT frame. It is also possible to define asynchronous
interferers or interferers 'sticking' to a call bearer whatever the handover
performed. Depending of the number of transceivers involved, up to the full DECT
spectrum can be disturbed.
